Dimension

There are places
Which cannot be
Described in words
Not because of
What they are
But because of
What they were

The motion of
The giving hours
Life lived
Upright &
Upside down

Music in the distance
I love those sounds

Reminding us
That energy is
Full of all
That is & was

Before
In the hereafter
Maybe the change
Is all the same
Maybe all the correlations
Will be different
This time around

Do you ever wonder if somewhere someone is wondering what became of their own self from one dimension to another?

Moon wind

Moon wind
Winding around
Itself & all
That which
Passes from one
State to another
You might know
All the answers
& still you have all
The same questions

Response time
Reflex rhyme
Necessary appendix
Timer suspended

Counting minutes
Until the next doomsday

Streetlamp
Bug light
Relentless
Buzzing
Trials

Summertime arrives
The quickening pace
Of the warming

It’s molecular
The urgency
Of heat giving
Life to dormancy
The spring beginning
No match for the ending

Nor for even the beginning of the fecund season

Change
& here we are again
I wonder what the
Year concludes

In her own words
In her own perametres

Diving

Energy potential
Under the flare
Of eclipse
Superflower moon
We feel the fullness
In each cell, each tissue

Crystal invisible
Insistent staircase

Time
Diving
Turning over
Drenched under the
Pression of another

Compelling tomorrow

The underneath

Fallen
Grown back
Up again
From a bed of
Flowers

Of multi-coloured
Weeds

Resting
Glowing
Out of
The in-between

The rules
Were meant
To be leapt over
Slept under

Phenomenal
Storm
Of being

The sky is reality
& how it gleams

Rules were meant
To be broken

Emerged
The underneath

Balance

Tenacious winds
Forming around
Bodies & matter
Everything churning
In generative darkness

Folding into
Yourself as
Air passes through
Your cells

Reading the future
Telæsthesia
Energetic well
The million ways
We know ourselves

The taste of
Cupcakes
On your breath

Angling onwards
We throw ourselves
Off balance to move

At all

Movement forever
Stillness illusory

Onism & such

Concrète/visual layout here.

Aftersome
Zenosyne
Agnosthesia

Tick
Tock
O’clock
Going
Going

Gone

In a line
& not
&
Pi

Aligned
My spine
Never
Kind of
Sometimes

For all the
Things
We said
We did
I’d like
You to
Know
Your
Stories
From then
Were
The best
You had
You made

I
I think
I think you
I think you know
I think you know that

You do
You do
You do

It always hurts
More when
People know
Better
You know?

Synthetic
Reveries

My scabulous body

Because I made it
You see

Whatever were you thinking when you thought you knew, you knew me?

I waited underneath the weeping willow tree with a doll, a marble, & a penny; hoping one day it would be different. High sun refracting off my blue-black hair.

Hello
Hi
Peppermint
Goodbye

Tears fall like stars
From my eyes

Rain sings
Percussive
On wings

I wonder how
I learned to
Write these
Scripts

& how you
Thought
No one
Would notice
When my
Words were
Amiss

They did though
They did

I know you never loved me
Because you
Underestimated
Me like
He did

I’m glad we have
The pithy wisdom
Of the internet

It really helped me
To get over it

I looked at more
Art than I can count
Now

I drew a bit

Zenosyne weeks
& zenosyne weekends

You robbed me of holidays
& little weekday blisses

I understand now
How it is
How it is
How love’s
All sewn into
The fabric
Of wishes

Authour’s note: a poem for day 27 of a month of poetry 2021.

From day 27 of glopowrimo: “In today’s (optional) prompt, I’d like to challenge you to write a poem inspired by an entry from the Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows. The entries are very vivid – maybe too vivid! But perhaps one of the sorrows will strike a chord with you, or even get you thinking about defining an in-between, minor, haunting feeling that you have, and that does not yet have a name.”

Please go read the poems  through the days on the glopowrimo site. There are lots of great poets & work. & please sign up for disqus (go here: https://disqus.com/ or you’ll see icons above each day’s comments) & upvote the poems you like. It’s a great way to support poetry month participants & to let us know what’s working with our poems as well as our responses to the prompts. 💜🎶🖋🌸🌷💌

Interpreting

All the realizations &
The lingering frustrations
Interpreted through
Unimpressive opinions

Did I ask you?
No I didn’t.

In reality
I stopped telling you
What I do
What I think

Damned
Either way
You don’t

Listen to

What I say

Forget me
Go away

These days
I give everything away

Secrets were meant
To be shared anyway

Another level

1

I keep thinking
I’ll die

& then I don’t
Somehow

Watching loved
Ones go is hard
Even ones we
Don’t know

Purposeful
Representation
Of entirety of self

Purposeless
Orchids

Do not live

2

How many times
Did she tell you
What was happening?

& how many times
Did you tell me
I was wrong
About reality?

Some people
Thrive on
Others’ confusion

The ways of men
With no personalities

3

Cold eyes
Pretending
You were there
At the parking lot stairs

Leaving is one thing

But breaking everything
Before you go

Is another whole level

4

You found her
Didn’t you?

Your Cerissa
Your Karla

Serial forced reason
Is of no consequence

Immunity compromised

We have the revolution

Ultimately

Mercury

They talk about Mars too much now. But you told me you wanted to go to Mercury instead. I still think it’s a colonial impulse that informs the kind of space travel humans do. Even though we do all love space.

We anticipate the photographs. We cried when the Mars Rover died. As if somehow it was a high achieving sentient being, & not a sleuthing camera machine.

I guess Mercury is close to all the planets in the galaxy, & it has ice on the poles. So habitable? Can be terraformed according to you. Why they’ve picked Mars, who really knows?

I wish they’d choose Earth.

Coordinates

Taking the last
To the future
Whatever you
Think about
Love

Always
A complex
Illusion

Confusion

The floors lifting
Up to the sky
The coordinates
Falling out
Of your eyes

Your mouth is
The answer
No questions
Come through

Bittersweet

Twilight
