Spring winds around

A crucial & fascinating aspect of this current reality for me has been the concept of mutual aid becoming so relevant & resonant during a time of uncertainty & melancholia.

Mutual aid is a principle & practice I have believed in & for a long time; believing it had the possibility to transform our perspectives & actions, our relationships with one another.

It has been an inspiring silver lining to see people distributing essentials, support & care to one another as a means of alleviating the duress of this epidemic. Solidarity driven mutual care is wonderful.

In the past year, I have both received & offered this instrumental practice of love & direct action.

I appreciate what we have built collectively. This is a present which has created many unique & enduring collective reverberations.

When in the spring
Of a still colder
Temperament
Upon the roadside
After rain
Tulips

Pleasant
Meetings
Eating snacks
On Thursdays
In May
Under trees
By Busy
Food stands

Exchanging
Conversation
Fortunate noon

Your innate
Understanding
Your underwhelm
Towards those
Ontological
Those
Epistemological
Fallacies
We take
For granted

I loved it

Between tasks
& excruciating
Chronic pain
I wrote 8 poems
& hid them away

Then a day went by
I was happy
Really happy
You know?

I shared
Everything
Thinking
Only good
Could come

Then more lies
An infinity
Of mistruths

Surrounded

I read 
That lovesong
Again
You know
The one
With the 
Peach

& the women
Coming & going
I’d hoped they’d
Speak of
Van Gogh

They say he was a
Pretty good guy
Nice to children
A significant
Measure of good character
His art improved
When he got
Mental healthcare

I believe it

I don’t think
You could paint
The sky like that
If you weren’t nice
& didn’t struggle
With the mind’s eyes

Who knows
Maybe that’s
Another fallacy

Window-panes
Pithy philosophies

I hadn’t read it
For a long time
It reminded me

Of you

I wanted
To tell you
I wanted to say

I’ll always roll
My trousers
& gaze up gently
Towards the æther

The vast universe

Beautiful darkness

Sparsely lit

Pearlescent

There is so much

To say about it

Comforting through

The implication

Of futures

Like blocks

Building

Themselves

Water pouring

Itself into

The forms

Of life’s

Portals

On channels

Of transmission

Finding

Information from

Those who

Won’t hold it

Anymore

Narrative memory

Pouring through

Doors & floors

Open windows

Invite outpours

Moody great

Rains cry

Out in plenty

For us all

Releasing

Calls for

More

Mirror

Mirror mirror
Premonition
All I see
I accept
Much more

I saw it coming
Like mirror on
Mirror multiplied

There are people
Who no matter
How many times
They knock at
The door
It’s best to
Ignore them
Forever
For sure

If you tell
Someone
You need
Something
& they
Beat you
Up instead

We know trash
Belongs in
The trash can

Mirror mirror
I remember
You are true
Not a lens
That filters me
Until I’m no
Longer there

& place

To arrive
