Moon wind

Moon wind
Winding around
Itself & all
That which
Passes from one
State to another
You might know
All the answers
& still you have all
The same questions

Response time
Reflex rhyme
Necessary appendix
Timer suspended

Counting minutes
Until the next doomsday

Streetlamp
Bug light
Relentless
Buzzing
Trials

Summertime arrives
The quickening pace
Of the warming

It’s molecular
The urgency
Of heat giving
Life to dormancy
The spring beginning
No match for the ending

Nor for even the beginning of the fecund season

Change
& here we are again
I wonder what the
Year concludes

In her own words
In her own perametres

Diving

Energy potential
Under the flare
Of eclipse
Superflower moon
We feel the fullness
In each cell, each tissue

Crystal invisible
Insistent staircase

Time
Diving
Turning over
Drenched under the
Pression of another

Compelling tomorrow

Periwinkle sky

Photo by Sanni Sahil from Unsplash

Periwinkle sky
Golden moon
Such a perfect moon
Rough & smooth

Nestled
In velveteen
Starry æther

The way
You refract
The sun
That light
You give
Transformed
From your
Mineral
Essence

Oh moon
How I’ve cried
With you as my
Companion

My tears lit
With your
Shine
Like stars
Falling
From my
Eyes

Notes of songs
Sung by you
Written by you

Aren’t you
The nearest alien?

Living
Moving you

& the mysterious
Creatures
Of the ocean
You bathe
You push
You pull
Them

Waves

Tidal
Gravitation

Waves

You this ball
This perfect
Sphere to us

Yet magically elliptical
On axis

Spinning

How many times
Has looking
Up to you
Saved my
Existence?

How are you there
& sort of this void
All at the same
Time?

In skies
Emptying
Time
Space
Of itself

You

Ghost moon
You & your
Bare bone
Surfaces

Your phases

Shapes

At your crescent
& at your alter
We are blessed
We do not falter

In the presence of
Your beautifully
Wicked contralto

You never burn us
As the sun does
The sun an
Excited
Creature
Spilling

You
A pretty
Marble

Chilling
& refined
Cooling
& defined

I am sad 5: upon a full moon

Energy of
Full moon
Upon us
This beautiful
Glowing
Moon
Living wonderfully
Near us

& I am in sadness

It is not despair
However that is
But grief
I feel
& that needs
To be

Felt
I embrace
You sadness
If I had to describe
How you appear
To me…

You are not
In the form
Of some
Grim Reaper

No you
Are flowers
Leaves
& storms
The magic of cats
& things reborn

You are the
Sparkling night
Iridescent clouds
On a sunsetting
Skyline

You are the morning

The mourning
For friends
& comrades lost

You are also
Trees
Pink & yellow birds

The sky as dusk sets

In all of this
I see for myself
That while sadness
Breathes inside of me
Life breathes life
Into life
Perpetually

The impermanence of things

Sharon McCutcheon

Like shattered glass

The broken heart Continues

Glued by organs

& time

&the future

&circulation

The body forgiving

The lost hope

Of a winter

Of things

You held on

For as long as

You could a

Attending to

Lost stories

~○~

Far away

Closeness

Today’s best guess Tomorrows daydream The dawn is starry

3 floors above ground The full moon beams

& hides

~○~

Past the concrete

& past the clay

& past the crystal

Clouds

Forget-me-not […]

The impermanence of things

The moonlight reaches your heart

Photo by Alexandro David from Pexels

The moonlight reaches your heart
A star has time
A star has time
The moon will hold
Its light still

Endless days
Move quickly
Stillness is plenty
Yet never enough

You wonder who you are
Traces of life surprise

Their journey’s end
As you wrap your being
Around itself

With news
