At the door

Day knocks

It screams

Through the quiet

You let yourself

At the door

Day knocks

It screams

Through the quiet

You let yourself

Into the room

Full of dancing sunlight

You let the rays wash over you

Like it’s

The only warmth

That has something

To give

The story takes place

In a day which never ends

This is the promise of night

Endless day

When the sun turns away

The moon makes

Its judgements

Reflecting on what the sun has said

You let yourself

Out of the room again

Night thickens

Becomes a gel

Then a solid

You are gone

To those dreams

The solid night

Encases you

As the

Night

Dissolves

Into day

You remember

The things you

Tried to forget

Over & over

You remember them

And you convince yourself

That they are lies

Because lies are what

Run this place

Where is everything

You search

Endlessly

Life can be

So small sometimes

So infinitely small

And so infinitely

Massive

With no beginning

And no known

Ending

Except

The Inevitable

Sets in

Every end

Does have

A start

You sing to yourself

As you weep

And you pretend

It’s not

The end

At all
