Biogenic

Did you see her

There?

There is a place
That fallen
Love stories
Are often
Written upon

Those places almost seem real
Tomorrows spun on a biogenic wheel

Roundness at the core of all the fondness & sweetness

Your love wasn’t round though
It was steel-cold

So what did it mean?

Peppermint

The underneath
Above
You wrote
Stories of mazes
Wrapped foliages

On other-worldly
Pages

I left for
Cloud worlds
& unicorns
Pink quartz
Liquid prism
Cores

On the floors
Of mint green
On peach shimmering
Vapourous
Neighbourhoods

Somehow
It was all part
Of the same world
A multiverse
Of tailored characters

Dressed in clothes
Made of cloud spun silks
Bearing magic
Spent from energetic wands & sweet milks

Through the mazes
Suspended on
Cerulæn underpinnings
Tree branches
Twigs making fonts
& lexical hexes

~○~

Mazes leading
To pink hazes
Sky blue glazes

Starlit circumferences
At the seaside
Candid engagements
At the strip mall
Solving problems
Unreality spun
On the shop floor

You loved me
Until I couldn’t anymore
Forget-me-nots waiting
For her at the door
Imploring blue

Yellow kitten eyes
Your promises
Cursive palettes
Upon your recycled
Wishful fallacies

Tea with honey
Cranberry
Lemon cake

{Hello hi
Peppermint
Goodbye}

Eating cupcakes
By the fire
You told her
All about
Who you were
Shapeshifting
You are

Tears fall
Like stars
Like rain

Your eyes
Holding
To the
Coming
Flights
The lights

{Will it fly?
Peppermint
Reply}

The time it takes
To say goodbye

To read the lines

You waved as you watched her leave for the last time

Underneath the
Withholding premise of another time
All the churning molten starlight love decries

Nothing begins
& everything ends

Candy on your breath
You put your bunny in the bike basket & left

The underneath

Fallen
Grown back
Up again
From a bed of
Flowers

Of multi-coloured
Weeds

Resting
Glowing
Out of
The in-between

The rules
Were meant
To be leapt over
Slept under

Phenomenal
Storm
Of being

The sky is reality
& how it gleams

Rules were meant
To be broken

Emerged
The underneath

Cacophonies

Characterizations
Laid upon you
Shedding the
Foundation of
Wrongs for
Every possibility
Daylight has to offer
& nighttime must cradle

Sentient bliss of
Darkness emerging
Brings all to surface
Cold rising star
Measures of temporality
Set upon a universe
Of sadness

Persistence
Persistence

Unreality
A mechanism

Textured
Harmonies

Collapsing cacophonies

Periwinkle mindset
Baby pink chaos

All the ways we scheduled tasks. Groceries after cups of tea & loss. Costs.

Balcony lunches. Strategizing revolved futures. Hanging roses upside down to dry them & remember the purple sky.

High up in the treetops, we talked to squirrels, sparrows, many cats. They taught us how to cook & make plans.

Spiral staircases to people in dreams. We.

Aquamarine

In the foliage of space
The forest of time
Twisting trees
Lines
Spines
Overtures
Underneath
Elemental
Euphoria
Of just making it
Another day

Leaves of silver sentiment
Flowers of aquamarine possibility

Another day

All the ways we play

I couldn’t be a perfect specimen, a token. It’s an elusive goal. An interplay of hail & blank pages. Still I received the coup de main.

What choice did we have?

It was different in those days.

Then arriving at
The interstitial
Stellar altar
We lay our
Anticipations
Our disappointments
Even our glee

Yet through rotations
Only some formulations

Change

The cursive winds
Looping letters
On cloud consciousnesses
Stems illustrated on
Wallpaper conversations

Letting the afternoon sun
Absorb the temperment
Of fantabulous meditations

Wishes on wonderfully
Wicked currents
Forever in memory
Holding their moments

Together

A morcel of great news

A screen grab to show my page linked on https://www.napowrimo.net/

Just a note to say I’m excited because while I’ve sort of secretly been doing napowrimo for many years, this is the first time I’ve had a proper poetry page to share my link on their page. & Idk it’s a real milestone for me in my art journey.

Thank you again for taking the time to read & appreciate my work. It has increased my confidence to continue on with my creative writing, as is my dream.

Epiphany

On Friday
She died

On Saturday
She turned
With the rings
Of planets
& she danced
With the stars

Revolutions

& on Sunday
She waited
Again & again

On Monday
She was
Completely
Reborn
To them

On Tuesday
Anticipation
Waned
In the wind

On Wednesday
The midweek
Proclaimed
Itself

On Thursday
An epiphany
An epigram
Sent

On Friday
A reply
A repeat
A precision
A recognition

A new beginning
& then an end

Authour’s note: poem 8 for a month of poetry. This piece is about cycles & time & realizations & dreaming unreality while living in complicated & beautiful reality. Resurrection.

Crumbs

Crumbs
Crumbs
On my thumbs
Not a bad thing
Sprinkling them
To make
The base for
A lovely cake

Crumbs
The remains
Of a delightful treat

Or in a twist of fate
The unwanted things
Left on your plate
At the end
Of something

Pieces of
Others’ mistakes
A revelation
Of taste

Trailing behind you
So you don’t lose your way
Until you find it again

For to be free of
These crumbs is
The hope
One day
