About nrk

mostly writing sometimes crying

Enigmatic

Walking towards

Falling sunsets
Dipping themselves
Along the frosted edges
Of our sharpened hearts

Pens strewn upon
The table
You encouraged us
To draw

I closed my
Burning eyes
Photophobic
Shaping
Sorrow
Out of nibs
Of felt-tippesd
Black pens
Found

Anywhere

Now

I am the life
You couldn’t
Quite believe in

Now

I laugh at myself
As I furrow my brow
Tempting my own
Expectations of
What we dreamed of

For

I don’t forget
The polymorphy
We constructed
Out of bricolage

Peripheral vision
Astigmatic
Perception
Holographic lenses
Renewing spectrum

Perhaps the persistent days
Were boring with you
Although I never saw it
That way

That way
I thought
We were

Enigmatic

Biogenic

Did you see her

There?

There is a place
That fallen
Love stories
Are often
Written upon

Those places almost seem real
Tomorrows spun on a biogenic wheel

Roundness at the core of all the fondness & sweetness

Your love wasn’t round though
It was steel-cold

So what did it mean?

Spheres

1

She said that the planets
The stars are all balls
Floating in space

From a child’s mind
These words
Always so revolutionary

2

I was looking at high resolution
Photographs of the sun

I look at maps of the moon
& think of you

How we are here
& gravity spins us in place

In space

Maybe roundness is resented
Because it’s the ultimate magic

Perfect spheres
Of fire & ice
Of stone & life
Reflective surfaces
Spinning & continuing

Meta-ekphrasis: 2d design

Colourful world-building
Wonderful abstraction of principle

Two dimensional
Delimitation
Mixing palettes
Of cloud shades
Hues & grades
Leaving the pages

Brain matter hazes
Gazing as the other
Although who gave us that placement

Art is everywhere
We are mused & muses
Moving formulations
Interpreting formations
Composition of storms
Matter is the discourse
From even the most inexpensive pen nib

No win situation

Continuation
Of misapplied reason
The notion that
Times aren’t changing

No matter how many times
We have explained the science
The science has been taken as false

Funny that.

I remember when pseudo-science explained everything.

I guess changing the game, rather than revolving it, is how cheaters win.

Peppermint

The underneath
Above
You wrote
Stories of mazes
Wrapped foliages

On other-worldly
Pages

I left for
Cloud worlds
& unicorns
Pink quartz
Liquid prism
Cores

On the floors
Of mint green
On peach shimmering
Vapourous
Neighbourhoods

Somehow
It was all part
Of the same world
A multiverse
Of tailored characters

Dressed in clothes
Made of cloud spun silks
Bearing magic
Spent from energetic wands & sweet milks

Through the mazes
Suspended on
Cerulæn underpinnings
Tree branches
Twigs making fonts
& lexical hexes

~○~

Mazes leading
To pink hazes
Sky blue glazes

Starlit circumferences
At the seaside
Candid engagements
At the strip mall
Solving problems
Unreality spun
On the shop floor

You loved me
Until I couldn’t anymore
Forget-me-nots waiting
For her at the door
Imploring blue

Yellow kitten eyes
Your promises
Cursive palettes
Upon your recycled
Wishful fallacies

Tea with honey
Cranberry
Lemon cake

{Hello hi
Peppermint
Goodbye}

Eating cupcakes
By the fire
You told her
All about
Who you were
Shapeshifting
You are

Tears fall
Like stars
Like rain

Your eyes
Holding
To the
Coming
Flights
The lights

{Will it fly?
Peppermint
Reply}

The time it takes
To say goodbye

To read the lines

You waved as you watched her leave for the last time

Underneath the
Withholding premise of another time
All the churning molten starlight love decries

Nothing begins
& everything ends

Candy on your breath
You put your bunny in the bike basket & left

Buoyancy

Oblique interstitial
Sentiment
Wishful predicament
Stopping to tell a riddle

Laughing off the
Most serious spells

Punctuated & striated
You left out the ellipses

Dots & lines

Dashes between letters
Ordered one at a time

Carefully coded
Collusion of force
Ethical void

Collapsing of all creation
Better devised

Still we can picture
Wonderful futures
In our prettiest
Buoyant minds

Dimension

There are places
Which cannot be
Described in words
Not because of
What they are
But because of
What they were

The motion of
The giving hours
Life lived
Upright &
Upside down

Music in the distance
I love those sounds

Reminding us
That energy is
Full of all
That is & was

Before
In the hereafter
Maybe the change
Is all the same
Maybe all the correlations
Will be different
This time around

Do you ever wonder if somewhere someone is wondering what became of their own self from one dimension to another?

Moon wind

Moon wind
Winding around
Itself & all
That which
Passes from one
State to another
You might know
All the answers
& still you have all
The same questions

Response time
Reflex rhyme
Necessary appendix
Timer suspended

Counting minutes
Until the next doomsday

Streetlamp
Bug light
Relentless
Buzzing
Trials

Summertime arrives
The quickening pace
Of the warming

It’s molecular
The urgency
Of heat giving
Life to dormancy
The spring beginning
No match for the ending

Nor for even the beginning of the fecund season

Change
& here we are again
I wonder what the
Year concludes

In her own words
In her own perametres
