It’s been quiet for you lately

Some construction sounds

Here & there

Always the birds

Mostly it’s welcome peace

Of mind & body

The threats

The shouting

Through hallways

Stopped

Still there can be disquiet

Internal & external

Rustlings

As new leaves come in

As blossoms send memos

Of arrival

You remember trajectories

Impacts & outcomes

You work in

Stillness set in chaos
