Glass houses

Glassy
Fading
Thoughts
At once
Clear
At once
Lost

Resonance & reverberation

Of enigma & conversation

A heart drawn through ephemeral condensation

Love means
We know it

Taking
Turns
Opening
& closing
Windows

Glass houses
Your cake
You can
Eat too
You can’t
Have
Everything
You want to

Having
Everything
Is everything

Isn’t it a collection of stones though

Isn’t that
What it’s
About?
About hegemony
& not about love?

This time

Though
You could see
It all
Thoroughly
Through
The sheer
Gloss

Through
The sheened
Veneer
Of freshly
Washed
Glass

Even still

You still

You still went last

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt ‘glass’

Authour’s note: a poem for day 13 of a month of poetry 2021. A mix of alluding to glopowrimo optional prompt for day 13 about the news, & a story in & of itself.
