Of insects

Oh little creature

To me anyway
I mean to you
Your worlds
Are big &
Infinitely so

Everything
A matter of
Scale
Of course

Your course

Burroughing
& Flying
Versatile
Colourful
You

You go
All over

Pretty
Or not
Shiny or
Iridescent

Of course
All whom
We call
Insects
Are quite
Entirely
From
Eachother
Different

Amongst the
Earliest of
Earth’s
Lifeforms
Insect
Shapes
Ancient
Magical
Like seeds

Some
Menacing
Pestilent
Beasts
But many
Happy
Pollinators
Life’s
Best friends
