The projectionist

~○~

what life lurks

in starlight

the moonlight

holds secrets

when life itself

had lost

all meaning

even within

the confines

of beauty

~○~

still we went

climbing

towards

a fairy’s

empty nest

wherein lay

no answers

just another day

~○~

your mortal

wound is nothing

if not distracting

there aren’t

many days

left still

arriving takes

forever though

in a ghost’s lair

you lay your dreams

on phantom words

artfully stalling

the inevitable

~○~

isn’t that why we

went up there

to learn

the same lesson

this time

with a promise

of change

every event

a box inside

another

every chance

at renewal

another

box inside

another

~○~

we let

the heart

show its

inevitability

give its

innermost

among fairies

among

phantoms

& among

unicorns

~○~

the movie plays

every scene

the projector

&

the projectionist

turning reels

inside of boxes

inside of other

boxes

~○~
